One of many schnapps fountains in the northern Black Forest. NEW for me: beer and liquor are secured behind a lockable door. To open you need a driver's license or ID card for proof of age (card reader).

I've been here for the third time today and found the Schnapsroot empty, so I'm having a hard time with a current recommendation. Not that anyone is too early to enjoy a schnapps at the end of a hike ;).
That may have made sense during the lockdown, but not anymore in my opinion.
A beautiful, modern system - with youth protection at that - it is definitely recommended and in the filled, functioning condition without a doubt.
