Hiking Highlight (Segment)
Short but very nice gorge for a family hike. The path leads 600m long up the gorge, about 60m above the Gießenbach. At the beginning you climb 90 steps from the power station.
The Schropperalm above the gorge is open from May to the beginning of October.
The gorge is closed from the onset of winter until Easter.

Great opportunity to walk with little kids. My 3-year-old daughter found it exciting and the Schopper-Alm offers a lot for the little ones. But there are actually 200 steps from the power plant 😉.

The Gießenbachklamm is an easy going gorge. There are a few steps (just under 100) until you're up, so unfortunately not suitable for strollers. Otherwise very suitable for children.
No danger spots and entertaining. No entry.

We hiked from the waterwheel to the Schopperalm at the Gießenbachklamm gorge.

Nice but very short damp. If you are in the area, definitely worth a detour, but not worthwhile for a longer journey. The circular route only takes a little more than an hour and you can walk through the actual gorge in around 20 minutes. The Grießbachklamm, which sounds similar but is located in Tyrol, is much nicer and longer.

What a nice place to work! The Gießenbachklamm begins right behind with a very picturesque waterfall.

The Gießenbachklamm is also very suitable for families. After a beautiful climb up to the pasture, past narrow passages, you can enjoy the wonderful view above.

Very varied tour with small levels of difficulty. Sturdy shoes are recommended. Most of the climb is via stairs.

This gorge is absolutely worth seeing, the effort of the ascent is definitely worth it.

Unfortunately, you can't get any further here by bike, unless you want to drag the bike up several steps that are crooked and crooked 😊 but it is still worthwhile to climb a bit here and look at the waterfall
