Cullera Castle

High on the top of the mountain is the imposing fortress of the Castle of Cullera. Built by the state of Cordoba in the 9th century for the strategic control of natural resources, communication routes and borders, it is made up of the alcazaba and two albacaras that fulfilled the function of sheltering the troops, cavalry, cattle and the population itself at times of siege

Undoubtedly, it is the place to visit in Cullera, beautiful views of the sea and it is also allowed to visit its interior.
As part of the National Historical Heritage, the castle has undergone several renovations over the years that have served to maintain its mark as an icon of the city. Its construction dates back to the 9th century and its function was strategic for the control of natural resources, communication routes and borders.

Very pleasant and varied walk to the lighthouse. Breathtaking views. On the other hand, we found the return to Buenavista ugly and painful, dogs barking everywhere.
