The Fisheries and Maritime Museum in Esbjerg offers a welcome change to the beach holiday. To astonish not only changing exhibitions to the main theme of the museum, but in the attached aquarium can be observed small and large fish and other marine life. Large underwater windows make it possible to get close to the animals. There is even a basin in which the fish are allowed to be touched. In the Robbarium seals are the attraction. You can marvel at various activities. But that's not all: There is an outdoor area with real woodcutters, which gives an idea of the life of fishermen in times gone by. In the harbor complex you can deepen these impressions. A highlight not only for children is certainly the seal feeding, which takes place daily at 11:00 and 14:30 clock. But even those who just want to relax, is right here. A playground for the little ones, along with benches surrounded by grazing sheep and a café with culinary delights and a wonderful panorama complete the offer.Directly in the vicinity of the main entrance there are plenty of parking facilities in sufficient numbers, but also a bus stop and bike racks. The fact that admission is free for children under the age of 18 may be especially attractive for families with several children.Further information at: fimus.dk
