Fóia Summit

The hike is very nice. Unfortunately I had to start the way back at km 6.6 because the path leads close to a house and the free-standing, waist-high dog of the landlord did not want to let me past. It's a shame.

There are several hiking trails in Fóia, the highest point in the Algarve, Portugal, with varying levels of difficulty and length. The best known is the Fóia Trail, a 6.8-km circular trail that offers views all the way to the sea and passes through areas of odelfeiras, a species endemic to the Serra de Monchique.I've already hiked the "Foia Trail," a very interesting trail, where I was lucky enough to spot some albardeira roses, beautiful flowers that I've only seen on this trail and in the Serra d'Ossa, in the Alentejo.I recommend it 👍🥾
