Boulevard des Pyrénées is famous! It was Napoleon Bonaparte who in 1808 had the idea for its design.Its realization did not materialize until the very end of the 19th century. From this boulevard located on the edge of the cliff, you can contemplate the spectacle of the Pyrenees chain in the distance, including the Pic du Midi d'Ossau.There is also the curious funicular of Pau, a statue of Henri IV, as well as 54 small plaques which indicate to walkers the name of the various Pyrenean peaks visible.
