Beautiful spot with a loop in the sand in the floodplain. All around, many benches in the parks and quiet paths.

The Pegnitz is a river in Franconia, which after an almost 113 km long, southwestern run in Fürth merges with the left Rednitz to Regnitz. On the flow path with its longer and more water-rich upper course Fichtenohe it is over 127 km long.Pegnitz has been an important economic artery for the region at least since the Middle Ages. The abundance of fish served to supply food and hydropower was used to drive the mills. In 1390, Ulmann Stromer converted the Gleißmühle on Pegnitz into the first paper mill north of the Alps, the Hadermühle (Hadern = Lumpen).de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pegnitz_(Fluss)
