The monument is a tribute to women who fought in the ranks of the Polish Army for the freedom of their homeland during World War II, especially in the battles for Kołobrzeg. It depicts a kneeling girl dressed in a soldier's uniform, with a bag slung over her shoulder, bearing a cross. This is a paramedic who helps a wounded soldier. Model girl on the monument was a paramedic, Ewelina Nowak, who fell during the fighting for Kołobrzeg in March 1945 during the removal of a wounded soldier from the battlefield. The monument is designed so that the girl's face does not reach the rays of the sun
