This trail contours gently downwards to the road at Scabcleuch as part of the Southern Uplands Way. It's not remotely technical but it can get fast in places - the surface is mostly grass.
With this in mind, though (and this being Scotland) this is probably one best to tackle in the dry. It can get pretty durned claggy when it's wet.
