Worcester Cathedral was founded in 680 AD and has been an important place of worship ever since. The cathedral you see today was built between 1084 and 1504 and represents many styles of English architecture. The Grade I-listed structure is very impressive, both on the interior and exterior.

For over 14 centuries, Worcester Cathedral has been a place of prayer for worshippers in Worcester. The magnificent cathedral took over 200 years to complete, with construction beginning in 1084 and finishing in 1504. It is built in the Norman and Perpendicular Gothic styles with an unusual chapter house and beautiful Norman crypt. You may recognise the cathedral's facade from a £20 note in circulation from 1999 until 2007.
