Even in early spring, Hackelsberg and Jungerberg (Tannenberg) are splendid in bloom: the yellow-flowered spring Adonis, the blue-flowered grape hyacinth and the flesh-colored mourning night vole are the first to start the new year. Milky stars with their delicate white flowers, Rapunzel bluebells and purple purple mullein follow.The world of insects is at least as impressive - 1080 butterfly species have been recorded here: swallowtail, chessboard and ram are just a few of the different butterfly species. But the zebra spider and the praying mantis also feel at home here. On the steep southeast slope of the Hackelsberg there is still a remnant of a downy oak bush forest.
