The quarry pond or the quarry ponds in Leimersheim are all private bodies of water.
Swimming and camping is strictly forbidden there. Exceptions are some leased parcels which only the tenants may use.
This is also strictly controlled there and reported in individual cases.
In general, it is always important to be informed. This is easy in this region because there is usually also a gravel works at a lake. So feel free to call and ask. You can also contact the municipalities.
No signage does not mean that a body of water is public. Anyone who wants to relax here on the Rhine has a large selection of lakes which are specially designated for local recreation.
