All GISSV programs are bilingual German/English and based on the German curriculum of the state of Thuringia, which is known and respected for its well-rounded educational approach, fostering interests across all academic disciplines as well as social-emotional competency, critical thinking, artistic expression and physical motor skills. The curricula for English, American History and Economics are based on the Common Core Standards. The Mountain View Campus is pre-school to 12th grade. Since 2011 the SF campus is located in the heart of San Francisco’s Presidio district and features Kindergarten to 8th grade classes, with a Preschool class being added in the 2020/21 school year to establish a full Preschool-8 program. In August 2020 the campus will be relocating to the Castro area at 117 Diamond St!
