In 1971, the discarded Elb-Saale barge was cut into three parts, brought ashore and expanded in 1974 to become an "excursion steamer". At that time an important institution for the local cavity in the newly created district of Grünau. Up to two years have been waiting here for a reservation in the on-board restaurant. Regular dance teas below deck and Mediterranean dishes entertained the citizens of the socialist state.
