Hof Deitmar Park

A great little park on the Emsdettener Mühlenbach, which is also connected to the city park by a beautiful path mostly along the stream. Great for Sunday walks!

The Hof Deitmar park is a tourist highlight. The park around the old manor was redesigned and completely renovated with funds from the Regionale in 2004. In addition to the August Holländer Museum, which shows the development of Emsdetten from an agricultural and handicraft village of weavers to an industrial city, the Wannenmacher Museum is located here, which shows the history of an old craft that Emsdetten even owes its nickname to. The old "tub maker town" was one of the few places in northwest Germany where this craft was carried out. In the immediate vicinity of this “Museum Island” lies the Münsterland Gallery, Stroetmanns Factory and the EMS-HALLE, an ensemble of cultural event centers that is known far beyond the borders of the Münsterland and is looking for its equal. The park also includes a historic bakery, a handicapped-accessible playground, the senior active club with various fitness equipment and a boules alley.
