If you have enough time, you should definitely walk to the foot of the glacier. In addition to the impressive mountain world, it is unfortunately very easy to understand what climate change really means. To those who are interested, simple signposting with annual figures shows how the glacier retreats, or, more precisely, melts. It was frightening for me to see that the glacier foot since my last visit in 2015 a good 400 m airline continues.
