Troy is the most fascinating peninsula in Portugal. Almost uninhabited and almost only sand

May 2023: the comments here are absolutely correct. The path is really EXTREMELY overgrown. Especially on the way back you can expect a fight with a kilometer-long hedge, sometimes up to your head. The view is not that exceptionally great, rather do other coastal hikes. And if you don't let that stop you: pack at least one bottle of water per person + long clothes. If you like, you can use the brush cutter to make the path accessible again ;)

Danger! The path is actually no longer passable. Despite the previous tips, we made the mistake and tried the paths on the ridge. Heavily overgrown, have scratches on their arms and legs and damage to our clothing. The paths have not been maintained for years and are heavily overgrown. Sometimes you have to push your way through hard branches, trees and thorns. We then had clouds on the crest, which is why unfortunately not even the view compensated us. No recommendation!
