Nice spot to see penguins at sunset. we saw them without any tour or payed entrance.
If you go close to the colony when everything is getting dark you see them coming to the beach in a big wave in the ocean. then saw many along the road getting back to town. even heard and seen some of the copulating.

Cycling

Well worth going to the visitor centre for special viewing and contributing to the well being of the colony. Avoid disturbance and avoid using artificial light. Ambient light only from a safe distance for photographs ... or just watch and enjoy the experience.
