Hahnweide Airfield

Great destination with an active glider and motor airfield and a restaurant on the Hahnweide with a beautiful sun terrace. Every 3 years at the beginning of September also the location of the vintage car meeting, one of the largest meetings of historical aircraft in Europe.

There's always something going on here. Either the gliders that are towed on the steel cable by winch trucks and that shoot almost vertically into the sky with a whistling rope. Or the motor planes that fly here make the place varied. The model airplane fans are out on their machines on Sunday morning. Unforgettable the training flights of the engine flying legend Klaus Lenhardt (LEKI).
