On the way from Kalteck to Vogelsang, the hiker encounters a special view: the Regensburg Stone.
The boulder made of pearl gneiss, on which the viewpoint is located, is protected as a natural monument, the name is certainly due to the distant view of Regensburg. But not only there: you can see far beyond the Danube plain and the Gäuboden to the edge of the Alps. To show the children a bird's eye view of cities and rivers is worth the short walk from Kalteck on the Goldsteig or from Bernrieder and Graflinger Tal. 200 m further, the monastery stone lures the view into the Bavarian Forest.
