Talsperre Wendefurth (HWN 62)

At the Wendefurth dam, in addition to the view from the stamping point of the Harz hiking pin, you can also enjoy wall running, which is offered here, as well as boat rental. Food and drink are also possible. Showpieces of turbine technology are displayed below the wall. The Harzer-Hexen-Stieg leads over the dam and goes a few hundred meters further into the famous Bodetal. There are parking spaces at the entrance to the dam.

We were able to enjoy the beautiful view alone, and are thrilled by this beautiful landscape with a view of the reservoir.

An alternative to the Hexenstieg leads directly past it.

This vantage point is on the path that runs slightly above the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg. From here you have a better view, because not too many trees are in the way. Path is apparently committed little.

The dam is part of the Bodewerk multifunctional facility. It is used for flood protection, low water elevation, electricity generation and is also the lower basin for the pumped storage plant.

The Wendefurth dam has a lot to offer .; from wall running and visiting the adjacent machine park to boat trips to the stamping point of the Harz hiking pin.

The stamping point cannot be found directly at the dam. It is located above the dam. There are two ways to get to the stamp box; either leisurely on the hiking trail or a little steeper through the bush.
