The short route (1.6 km) shows the central importance of the forests in life
of the population.
The long route (7.5 km) leads past old open-cast mines and quarries,
that give an idea of the extent and economic importance
the iron industry must have had here once. There are also impressive views of the cities of Warstein and Hirschberg.
