Though the pavement has seen better days, this dedicated pedestrian/bike trail is a great north-south connection for bikers, safe from car traffic. It seems to follow this canal for miles, according to GoogleMaps (which the komoot app doesn't show while you're outside, only visible on the web browser). At it's northern end it has an elaborate bike bridge across the highway, apparently leading to a Heretic Brewery ;-)
