On an island tour you should not miss the Zuider Haaks route. The route runs along the ferry port. Here you have a great view to Den Helder. Furthermore, the ferries can be viewed at the entrance and exit. To the east there is the small commercial port of Texel. From there it goes on a dune bike path to Oudeschild.
