Heading north from Clanfield or east from Harvesting lane, there is a narrow cycle path alongside the A3 from a dual carriageway sliproad up to Queen Elizabeth Country Park car park.

Crossing under the A3 the elevated timber section of the cycle path in the photo is immediately visible. The drop kerb onto the footpath is down near the car park to the visitor centre.

The path itself climbs the hill along the original road route overlooking the A3 passing through a chalk cutting. The path is smooth tarmac with stretches of compacted road stone track in the grass alongside.

On the way down the track passes through bollards and widens to road width. HGV tipper trucks enter and leave the chalk quarry entrance the east .

The segregated path rejoins the slip road off the A3 heading north along the B2070 into Petersfield.

It's tarmac, any kind of bike can use it.
