The current building was built in 1947 on the site of the old church of Trasona, destroyed during the Civil War of 1936 (and whose original factory is only preserved, next to the current access stairway, a pinnacle of the Herrera type), with the support of the Bishop of Oviedo, Manuel Arce Ochotorena, as it appears in the founding inscription engraved on a tombstone placed on one of the pillars that support the rostrum, inside the building.
However, it was not completed until the parish priest Severino Huerga completed the apse works in the 1960s. The Latin cross floor consists of a porch (on the west side and part of the north and south sides), a 4-section nave (with a platform supported by a triple archway in the first), a 3-body cruise, a presbytery, a semicircular apse and two sacristies (one on each side of the presbytery). The deck is a half-barrel vault in the nave and in the central sections of the cruise, with vaults with edges in the lateral sections or chapels of the cruise and in the presbytery, and half-oven in the apse. Outside the bell tower stands out, raised on the porch on the front facade, facing west. This church offers elements of tradition and aesthetics both pre-Romanesque (such as the capitals of the columns that support the apse arc of the apse, with stylized vegetal decoration, and the openings of semicircular brick arch open at the cruise and the sacristies ) as Romanesque (apse plant, roof vaults). On the outside, attached to the presbytery and one of the sacristies, is the rectory house, with two floors, with a semicircular arch cover and lintelled windows. aviles.fandom.com/wiki/San_Vicente_de_Trasona_Church
