The St. Kilian Evangelical Church is a stately building that testifies to the former prosperity of the place. The tower has defensive features and was formerly free, it could have been part of a fortification. In 1575 an Erfurt citizen donated a valuable wood carving to the church "The Adoration of the Magi". The nave was rebuilt in 1592/94 (Wikipedia).
