You can also start from Ella Railway Station and walk along the rails to Kitalella. The tricky part starts after Kitalella anyway

Coming from Ella rock, there is also a lovely bridge you can hike with good views. I can definitely recommend going to the top of Ella Rock for sunrise and then hike back to the village via the train tracks.
