The Mont Ventoux is of course an absolute "MUST" for every racing cyclist. And apart from the Tour de France hype about this mountain, it is simply beautiful - great route from Bedoin first through the light oak forest, later through the barren limestone landscape with a view of Provence that you have to experience.

And if you're not driving uphill at racing speed, the incline is also much less dramatic than is often said.

3 times conquered the mountain in one day. So you get into the "Club de Cingles" - the club of the crazy.
And you can be proud of it.

The view is great! Always watch out for the wind before going up. A fantastic mountain to train on.

Also drive up from Sault, very nice and not that difficult. Very nice climb. Different from all three sides and always beautiful. A must for every cyclist.

A trip to the top of Mont Ventoux is a must when in Provence. An ascent of almost 1,600 vertical feet can be conquered on this outpost of the Alps, and it is especially the last part of the ascent that leaves one speechless. This rubble desert is just breathtaking.

Let us be clear: the road to Ventoux does not go anywhere and there is no reason to climb it. It exists only as a challenge, the ultimate mirror, says cycling philosopher Paul Fournel, in which riders, stripped bare, confront not only the grandeur of nature but also their essential selves. Perhaps this is why the legend of Ventoux endures, and new chapters keep being written.

Grandiose, very impressive panoramic view over the Provence, with good views to the Mediterranean Sea. No less impressive the climbs :-)

I'm not in the club yet, but the idea is funny. Or rather crazy? But does not contradict itself. :)

The highlight for every racing cyclist in Provence! Whoever manages that is indeed a "madman"!

Really tough climb from Bedouin classic side to reach the top of this monumental climb

I think you do not have to write much about Mont Ventoux. Who is on the summit before 9 o'clock can still enjoy some loneliness. Then it gets full. The weather can change quite fast. Therefore be prepared for everything. If you start the mountain from all three sides in one day, you qualify for the "Club des Cingles du Mont-Ventoux." Before you can order a corresponding stamp card from the club.

One of the most difficult passes in France ... the last part from Chalet Reynard is mineral (and therefore magnificent !!)

A trip in winter up to Mont Ventoux is something very special. Depending on how much snow there is, you can get very high to the summit or only up to 1500 m or 1600 m.

A legend of the TDF does not need any further introduction 😉
    - Ascent hard, wind almost always but no use - up there!

Often repeated. Still right. You have to have driven. I am, however, a fan of the approach from Sault.

Club des Cinglés, 4x up in one day ... and of course down again. The last ride with the MTBike through the forest ... very difficult ... but done ... so you will be a Galérien du Ventoux :-)

Mythical long climb with beautiful views up to the Alps. After conquering this col more than 25 times, it remains difficult. The ascent via Sault is the least difficult. The ascent via Bedoin is the most famous, via Malaucene many varying gradients and this from 3 to 13%.

Do it in September / October because the shape is usually right. I speak from experience. I am already a member of the Club de Cincles and have climbed the mountain three times. Great feeling.

    Fantastic and mythical collar.
A first part through the fields of lavender, vines or olive trees, Rather easy.
Then comes the crossing of the pine and oak forest…. With an elevation always greater than 10%.
Finally the last part, through stone fields, with an average slope of 7%, but moments at 10% or more.
Mont Ventoux has to be earned!
