Short steep slope trail climbs up from Crestmore Drive into the dense eucalyptus forest on Mt Sutro southern flank. Look for an opening in the trees here or from the stairs in the neighborhood below for panoramic views to the South and West. A few steps along Christopher and Historic trail lead to an outlook to the west.

Mountain biking

A partially steep gravel & dirt trail climbs from the Southern contours of Historic Trail straight to the top of Mount Sutro. These trails are shaded by tall Eucalyptus trees and are slippery, particularly when wet. They should only be ridden when dry to avoid erosion and keep them open to mountain bikers.
