Both a walking route and part of the Hadrian's Cycleway spanning the country, this section close to the market town of Hexham along the River Tyne is both useful and peaceful. Watch out when the water level is high. The larger park covers 200 acres of the banks of the river, meadows, chalk grassland and woodland.
