Kissimmee Campground in Kissimee Prairie Preserve State Park has nicely shaded sites in the family campsites and equestrian sites with picnic benches, fire ring, power and water. There are also special astronomy campsites with no shade, limited number of picnic tables and a special platform for telescopes. It is a perfect spot for stargazing. A volunteer astronomer holds star parties at the campground during the winter months. There is also a bathhouse, hot showers and laundry facility (bring your own soap). You can get potable water at the restrooms.
You can book a campsite through Reserve America in advance or check with the host if a space is open when you walk in. reserveamerica.com
