Cycling

The St. Marien Church was built in 1571/72 at the urging of Elector August I on the site of the former Benedictine nunnery Marienpforte from 1198. Anna von Miltitz was the last abbess of the monastery. Her tombstone, on which she can be seen in life size, is inside the church. There are also beautiful hand-carved figures on the altar and a life-sized crucified Christ in the church.
