Kennedy Meadows General Store – PCT

If you need supplies, a shower, laundry, package pickup or want to catch the Saturday night movie, the Kennedy Meadows General Store is the perfect place for you. It is the stop where your adventure into the High Sierra begins, so send yourself the winter gear you need (ice axe, bear canister etc.)You can pitch your tent for free behind the store. For a small fee, you can use the shower.Opening hours: 9 am to 5 pm

You'll never forget this moment: every hiker is greeted with applause from the hikers on the terrace! The desert section is now officially over and you deserve the burger!Here you can: pick up your resupply package, shop, eat, drink, weigh your backpack, there is free internet and a hiker box.I hitchhiked the two miles down to Grumpy's and stayed two nights as the plumbing here wasn't working properly. There are huge pancakes, outdoor showers and the possibility to do laundry. You can also get the famous PCT bandana here at Triple Crown Outfitters - free if you've hiked by then!
