The railway bridge is located east of Meinerzhagen in the course of the single-track DB branch line Meinerzhagen-Krummenerl. It was built in 1912-1914. The characteristic feature of the bridge is the steel framework, which consists of two sub-sections of straight superstructures and arranged in between a downwardly directed fish belly carrier. The steel truss is supplemented by a massive arched bridge to the west, consisting of 2 bridge arches with concrete core and quarrystone cladding. Bridges with such structures are present in the Federal Republic of Germany only in small numbers.
