Valle Brembana Cycle Route

This is one of the most beautiful cycle paths I have passed.

The Valle Brembana cycle path is a cycle / pedestrian path that winds through the homonymous valley in the province of Bergamo.The route climbs up the valley partly using the site of the former Brembana Valley railway. From 2019 it can be traveled from Almè to Piazza Brembana, except for a short section of about 3 km in the municipality of Zogno. The section between Bergamo and Almè in fact belongs to the Ciclovia dei Colli, which connects the city to the mouth of the valley.The Brembana Valley railway was a railway, electrified with the unusual 6000 V 25 Hz alternating current system, which between 1906 and 1966 connected the city of Bergamo with Piazza Brembana through the homonymous valley.
