For example, you can see the TV tower in Dusseldorf. Also you have a very nice view over Duisburg. Great location for panoramic photography.

Great view in the near and with good visibility in the distant surroundings. Unfortunately, the informative panels were smeared by any hollow heads and are therefore hardly readable.

"... Between Wolfssee and the nature reserve Haubachsee there is a prominent mountain Wolfsberg towers over the surroundings by about 28 meters, its highest point is 63.1 meters above sea level and on a surface of about 6 hectares was a garbage The first wooden observation tower on Wolfsberg, built in 1994, was destroyed in an arson attack eight years later and replaced by a steel successor. Not only all lakes and the leisure pool can be overlooked by it: with appropriate weather, this 22 meter high tower, which is probably Duisburg's highest constantly accessible point, offers impressive panoramic views, stretching from Düsseldorf in the south to Moers in the northwest and Bottrop Details such as the roller coaster Tiger & Turtle, the Bridge of Solidarity, Radio Ode TV towers in Duisburg, Düsseldorf and Mülheim or the industrial backdrop on the Rhine stand out as landmarks. Particularly striking, however, is the idyllic lake area with the almost unlimited green, which is not expected for the Ruhr region, especially from foreigners, but also from connoisseurs in this form ... a real nice piece of oasis. Here you can hike very well, and no matter where you are, and the sun is shining, as if you are on vacation.

The high tower is surrounded by greenery. A fantastic all-round view! And as always at "crowded places", the best time is early morning.

Unfortunately the tower is currently closed (July 2020). So unfortunately no view, just an ugly steel frame. And who also paints something BLUE ???

Anyone who is already around here should tackle the 100 steps ... Wonderful view of the entire lake area.
The Wolfsberg in Duisburg-Wedau is located in the middle of the local recreation area of the Six Lakes Plateau. It is a wooded rubble and slag dump with a height of 28 meters on an area of 6 hectares. A blue painted steel observation tower has stood on its summit since 2005, after the previous wooden building fell victim to arsonists. At 63.1 m above sea level, it is the second highest publicly accessible point in Duisburg after the Kaiserberg at Duisburg Zoo. If the weather is good, you can see from the platform to the Cologne area.
