Wartenberg Castle was enthroned on a single mountain in the Danube Valley. The complex consists only of a residential tower, which was built in 1140 and has a side length of 13.4 by 21.8 meters. The castle walls are still three meters thick and have been preserved up to a height of several meters. A heavily overgrown beaten path leads to the complex. To get inside, you have to climb two meters high. To the east of the castle is the successor building, a castle from 1450 that was rebuilt in 1780. It's private today.
