Lake Tanchet was initially a reserve of drinking water.
From now on, it is possible to practice sailing, angling or even walking around it.
The dike located between the lake and the ocean offers superb landscapes, punctuated by rocks and sand on the sea side and denser vegetation on the lake side.

Beautiful lagoon of fresh water formed right behind the coastline by the beach creating a barrier that was made permanent after some time. Great for bird watching.

The narrow dike that once was a sandbank with the still beautiful beach. Now used by Boulevard de JFKennedy, the sandbank created a barrier that formed and protects a lake on the other side.
