From Vergeletto, we take the modern cable car with four cabins up to Alpe Salei, which is at an altitude of 1783m, in just 7 minutes.

From Vergeletto, in the Zott area and close to the Arena forest reserve, a modern cable car with four cabins takes you up to Alpe Salei at an altitude of 1783m in just 7 minutes.
From here, in addition to the inviting mountain hut, you can see a clear mountain lake (approx. 20 minutes walk), some mountain peaks with breathtaking panoramic views (the Pilone between the Onsernone Valley and the Vergeletto Valley) as well as the Alps and the villages of Comologno and Spruga (approx. 1 .30 hour walk) can be easily reached.
The hiking trail over the Alps, which begins exactly at Alpe Salei, leads past the Alpe Arena to Alpe Porcareccio with its mountain huts.
