Wonderful little stopping point if you are on the C2C route heading towards Sunderland. You have to come off the route just after James Steel Park and cross a Wonderfull iron bridge across the wear, if you don't now the area its pretty easy to miss but if you're good with navigation you should easily find it. Theres not really that much there but its with checking out if you're passing by. The oddfellow arms is a decent pint and the beer garden in the summer is superb.
