The term "lake" is a bit inappropriate here in my opinion. It is a biotope that was created on the Neckar years ago. Nature has regained the area made available here in an impressive way and you can guess what it might be like on a non-canalised river. Because areas flooded by the Neckar were created in this biotope, it gives the impression of a small lake. If you have patience and calm, you can fully enjoy the flora and fauna here.

Ideal nature reserve for many birds and insects. After a few years now also overgrown with many different plants. Parking is available at the Hohenecker outdoor pool.
