The Igeler Sprung is a geological break. The special thing about this fault is that the different rock layers are exposed: the red sandstone rock and the gray-white limestone rock. (Source: information sheet on site)
Can be seen from the main road and from Liescher Berg (Löschemer Kapelle vantage point) on the opposite side of the Moselle. komoot.de/highlight/189486

A beautiful trail. After a few hundred meters, you climb what feels like 250 steps, but then along the edge of the forest to the plateau. It's a wonderful setting, with green flower meadows and pure nature. Partially paved paths alternate with narrow forest trails. Interesting trail, 4 out of 5 stars.
