Crisp climb on scree direction Schönheide. Past alpine pastures with "real" alpine bells and breathtaking views of the Knock and the valley of the Mulde. Afterwards, a detour to the Knock is absolutely recommended, there is a great view in the direction of Eibenstock and dam.
But even as a robust downhill makes the way whimsy as a quick entry before the long monotonous rise towards Carlsfeld. If you like it shallower, you will find a wildly romantic path along the old railway line up to Hammerbrücke a few hundred meters up the river.
