Vemork, Industri Arbeider Museum
At the beginning of 1900 the famous Rjukan waterfall was sacrificed for the 1st hydroelectric power plant in Norway. After WWII, this special building was converted into a museum.
The hall with turbines is accessible to the public. There is also an interesting documentary and exhibition about the sabotage actions during WWII. In addition, there are changing art exhibitions, but a permanent exhibition is about the origin and foundation of Rjukan, the industry with the workers' history.
This museum is open throughout the year.
