As part of the fortification belt of Neheim Castle, the Burgmannshof Gransau was one of the late medieval fortified courtyards. The massive ground floor dates from the 17th century, but its core is much older. In the 15th and 16th centuries. The farm was owned by the Erbdrosten von Fürstenberg and has been privately owned since 1763.
