How did people actually live here earlier in the Black Forest? In this open-air museum, you can feel it up close. There are old parlors, barns, mills and saws - just like you have lived here in the last 400 years. An exciting journey through time awaits you here. More information can be found at vogtsbauernhof.de

The farms shown were "collected" throughout the Black Forest, i. mined and rebuilt here - impressive

Very worth seeing old farms from the Black Forest. It's amazing how people lived and worked in the farms for centuries.

The Black Forest Museum is extremely impressive. It is very big, well maintained and extremely informative. Detailed signage accompanies the whole museum and in some houses even old crafts are maintained. It is really worth seeing, you can spend good all day here.

Beautiful and large farm with many impressions of life back then

Contrary to what the name "Vogtsbauernhof" might suggest, this beautiful open-air museum in the district of Ortenau not only consists of one farm, but over the course of time additional buildings were dismantled from the near and far surrounding area, transported here and rebuilt (what can be done comparatively easily with half-timbered houses, since the beams are simply mortised).

The Vogtsbauernhöfe are always worth a visit. If you have children, the large playground is also worthwhile.

I spent over 6 hours here. There were plenty of snacks available for catering. I particularly liked the apartments from the 70s and 80s

impressive old farms from the southern and central Black Forest with good explanations. I particularly liked the pieces of furniture left by the last residents from the 1950s to 1960s. This makes the development of living conditions very clear. You can spend a day here. Always worth seeing.

classic stereotype of an open-air museum; nonetheless interesting and informative.
Whereas there used to be only a handful of houses, the scope of the open-air museum has recently expanded again and again and a few new houses have been added.
Not recommended on weekend rush hour when hordes of day trippers flood the park; better come during the week or anti-cyclically.
