The cozy Steinitzenalm is located at about 1,000 meters above sea level. All around there is so much to admire dreamlike nature.
In particular, there are local delicacies to eat, such as the famous Styrian donuts, which the landlady and her family prepare themselves.
A really nice rest stop for hikers who come from Mühlreith (about 45 minutes walk) or Bad Mitterndorf (about 1 hour and 15 minutes walk). But also cyclists like to come here and the Dachstein circuit also leads directly past the hut.
