At the foot of Pica Mancondiú, at the end of the Canal de las Vacas, at a height of 1,725 metres, is the shelter known as the Ándara casetón. Unique in the Eastern Massif of the nine that are found throughout Picos de Europa. It has impressive views.

The excitement when you reach this hut can hardly be put into words - regardless of whether you hiked here via the shorter section in the blazing sun or via the shady but three times longer section of this circular route. In both cases one is relieved to have reached this spectacularly situated hut and to be able to enjoy a coffee or a cold drink (cash with you, tested for you). On a clear day you can see as far as the Cantabrian Sea and feel like the king of the world.
