The Eisenstraße runs from Kettenbach/Michelbacher Hütte (founded around 1650 as Eisenhammer; later Passavant-Werke) south to Taunusstein and is probably a late medieval road on the Eisen to Hahn, and on the route of today's B54 further over the Eiserne Hand Wiesbaden to bring to Schiersteiner Hafen.
